The Didcot Triangle is an unofficial competition based on league games
between Reading, Swindon and
Oxford when they are all in the same
division. It is so called because the three towns form a triangle
centred on Didcot. The teams are ranked on the criteria in force at the
time (so that Oxford won in 1997-98 on goals scored). The number in
square brackets gives the league position. Reading have been winners
five times, Oxford four and Swindon one. Reading are the current
holders, having achieved the first ever 100% record in
2000-01. It is unlikely to be
contested again in the near future.
